I was forwarded a great article about Greenwich Connecticut by a colleague on
ERE.net. The article appeared in the Los Angeles Times last week. Here is a link to that article:

GoliathJobs’ Headquarters is in Stamford Connecticut which borders Greenwich. While we are a national organization, we obviously have a significant volume of traffic from the local area as well.
It is correct to assert that the entire country is effected by the economic climate but there will always be areas of significant wealth that are somewhat insulted (but never 100%). And this is a good thing. If a town like Greenwich is hit hard then the rest of the country has a lot to worry about. If the leaders in industry and finance go belly-up then that usually means the rest of their organization is out of work. An economy 101 trickle-down effect.
From a
GoliathJobs standpoint we are still seeing jobs available in the Greenwich/Fairfield County/Westchester areas. We are seeing postings for financial, legal and IT support personnel along with the usual healthcare and education postings. Hospitality has slowed slightly but still exists.
Our founder, David Mezzapelle, recently spoke to a large group of local & regional execs (CT, NY, NJ). He addressed the strength of the local economy and also addressed key areas of growth. That event should be posted on our blog shortly.
