Barefoot Student, the nations #1 student work portal, is looking for creative achievers to act as brand ambassadors at universities nationwide. Ambassadors will complete an internship of one month consisting of a minimum of five hours a week. The focus of the internship will be on creating marketing buzz and persuading students to join Barefoot Student. The internship is broken into the following tasks:

1. Become familiar with the Barefoot Student online work portal.

2. Brainstorm for creative ways to create buzz and convince students to join Barefoot Student; set a realistic target goal of how many students will join from your university.

3. Write a 1-2 page marketing plan which includes your broad based strategy, goals, and details regarding the tactics you will use to reach your goals.

4. Implement your plan. Improve and improvise to ensure success.

5. Report results with a 1-2 page summary at the end of the two months on various aspects of the campaign including quantification of results, i.e. what worked, what didn’t.

Interns chosen will be given great freedom on creating and implementing their plans. All plans should include at least five mediums/methods of advertising. For instance, your plan might include an online social networking aspect, an article in the school paper, a sidewalk chalking campaign, a flyer in the career center, and a word of mouth element.

Ultimately, the goal for you is to have fun while gaining practical experience and insights regarding creating and implementing a successful marketing campaign.
This is an unpaid internship. Interns can work as a team. Only one intern/team per university will be accepted.
