Monster is 'under construction'

Interesting interview with Monster CEO Sal Iannuzi about the state of the job search giant and the economy. Enjoy.

Interesting interview, but I'd like to hear what he thinks about the growth of niche job sites.

"We are slowing down, but we have good excuses for that: slow economy and reorganization".

Thanks Chris for posting that. Sal seems optimistic but not enthusiastic. I believe that niche boards will flourish in the next year because of the slow economy. Let me explain. With a slow economy and a decrease in jobs, more and more people will be posting to Monster and CareerBuilders. I believe that the competition in the general population on the general boards will be fierce. In a niche situation, the jobseeker will be up against only his/her demographic.
